The TP-Link TL-FC311A-20 Gigabit WDM Media Converter is designed to extend Ethernet networks over single-mode fiber up to 20km. It converts Gigabit Ethernet signals between the RJ45 copper connection and an optical fiber link, making it suitable for long-distance network expansion. Using WDM technology, the converter sends and receives data through a single fiber strand. Its wavelength arrangement uses 1550nm for TX and 1310nm for RX, helping make better use of existing fiber infrastructure. The device includes a Gigabit RJ45 port with Auto MDI/MDIX, automatic duplex selection, LED status indicators, and a plug-and-play setup.
